Laurel Lake Encore Chorale to perform Spring Concert on June 2
Featured will be the music of American composers including "Ching A Ring Chaw" by Aaron Copland, "Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor" and "Alexander's Ragtime Band" by Irving Berlin, "What A Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong, "Precious Lord, Take My Hand" by Thomas Dorsey, and American folk songs "Shenandoah" and "Deep River." The program will conclude with a musical salute to "The Armed Forces: The Pride of America," in honor of Memorial Day.

Rehearsals for the Encore 2010 Holiday season will start Tuesday, September 7 at 3 p.m. at Laurel Lake. All singers age 55 or older are invited to participate. This program is offered free to the public. No auditions are required.
The Laurel Lake Encore Chorale, under the direction of Donna Anderson, rehearses weekly and performs several concerts each year. The Chorale was the first national affiliate of Encore Creativity for Older Adults
