Laurel Lake Foundation, Hudson Community Foundation
to sponsor free Write-a-Will service

April 8, 2009 -- The Laurel Lake Foundation and Hudson Community Foundation are offering a Write-a-Will service to Hudsonites who are without wills and whose net assets are less than $338,333.

Two local Attorneys, John Sharp and David Umbaugh, will assist those eligible for this service the week of May 18th to produce simple wills, free of charge.

Applications for Write-a-Will are available at the Laurel Lake Main Entrance, 200 Laurel Lake Dr., or at the offices of Day Ketterer, LLC, 5 E. Main St. in Hudson, or at the offices of John Sharp, 110 W. Streetsboro St., or at the reference desk on the second floor of the Hudson Library and Historical Society.

Applications must be returned by May 18. All eligible applicants will be contacted by phone to arrange an appointment.

The Write-a-Will program is done in conjunction with Leave a Legacy, a consortium of non-profit organizations in Summit and Portage counties to assist individuals to improve their financial positions.

The Hudson Community Foundation supports environmental and historical preservation, youth education and recreation, arts and culture, and Hudson social services.
