Join Laurel Lake Travelers for Small Ship Cruising
August 13, 2009 -- On Sept. 9 at 3 p.m. at Laurel Lake Retirement Community, 200 Laurel Lake Drive, Marge Hellinger of Tours ‘N Tours will present an interactive webinar on Small Ship Cruising.
Participants will learn about the small ships of American Cruise Lines, sailing out of Jacksonville, Fla. The modern 100-passenger ships are small enough to travel calm inland waterways and dock at small ports. Naturalists and historians are onboard to enhance your experience and lead excursions.
The Laurel Lake Travelers are contemplating a May 2010 "Historic Antebellum South" cruise to Charleston, SC, sailing through the South on the calm Intracoastal Waterway, with stops at Amelia Island, Jekyll Island, St. Simons Island, Savannah, Hilton Head and Beaufort.
